Bryce Martin:  Founder, Manager, Lead Investigator

Ever since Bryce was young he has always had a fascination with the paranormal. His interest started when he was seven years old when he met Doctor Louis Cohen, a psychology professor and a parapsychology enthusiast.  Dr. Cohen told Bryce many stories about the paranormal, and Bryce was immediately eager to learn more. Then later on in life in his early teen years, Bryce had his first paranormal experience where he saw a shadow figure under a lamp post at the RV park his family camps at every year in Gladwin MI. With heightened interest in the paranormal, Bryce wasn't sure in which way he should channel it, until he saw an episode of Ghost Adventures in 2008. It was then that knew he wanted to start a scientific team dedicated to investigating the paranormal, so he created what became Michigan  Bay Paranormal Team. Over the years, Bryce has gained much experience in investigating the paranormal and become more of a skeptic, but no less interested. “I want to find an explanation for every occurrence, and the ones I can’t find an explanation for are the most intriguing,” says Bryce.  Outside of paranormal investigating, Bryce is a local route truck driver and an avid downhill skier.

Taylor Keysor:  Co-Manager, Lead InvestigatorTrainer

As a biochemist by training, questioning everything around her has always been second nature for Taylor.  With a curious mind for the unknown and unexplained paranormal phenomena, Taylor joined the Michigan Bay Paranormal Team in 2011 in search of this very topic that had piqued her interest for many years prior to her joining.  Being a skeptic, she enters the field with an open mind, even after experiencing a wide variety of paranormal phenomena.  Her favorite experience was when a disembodied voice talked to her on two different occasions on two different investigation trips to the same location.  On client calls to locations, she is determined to work hard to help them as much as she possibly can.  "Whenever I'm on an investigation I always try not to presume that the location is going to be haunted," she comments, "A good investigator tries to debunk as much as he or she can.  If I go into a location with that mindset, I know I'm going to do the best job that I can do for our clients."  As MBPT's official trainer, Taylor hopes to inspire new members to become confident investigators, while still pursuing her personal goal of developing theories for a variety of paranormal phenomena.

Jared Grim:  Lead Investigator

Meet Jared. Jared has been a member of Michigan Bay Paranormal Team for 5 years now as of 2017. During this time, he has gone from trainee to lead investigator. His love of the paranormal stems from a very early age when he watched Ghostbusters for the first time. Only after joining MBPT,  was he finally able to make his passion a reality. Being an electrician by trade, he brings a vast knowledge of electrical theory and mechanical inclination to the team. He has a logical and technical sense of reasoning, and goes into a location as a skeptic. To him, everything can be explained. His personal experiences include hearing voices, sounds, and objects moving. Just like any paranormal investigator, his goal is to capture a full bodied apparition, even though it may not be like the full torso apparition captured in the basement of the New York Public Library like the Ghostbusters did!

Zach Eickel:  Senior Investigator

Zach's interest in the paranormal sparked when he watched the show "A Haunting" with his mother when he was young. After listening to the numerous stories his family has had with the paranormal, his interest turned into curiosity. He had his first experience with paranormal phenomenon at the age of three when his family moved to an apartment in Bay City while his house was being rebuilt in 1997.  Instantly after moving into the apartment, he gained an "imaginary friend" named Max. His mother knew something was up when he complained of stuffed animals being thrown at him while he was sleeping at night and having strange nightmares.  Through MBPT, Zach hopes to find clarity of what happens when our souls reach the other side.

Mike Leppek:  Investigator

This is Mike: he is 27 years old, and is one of longest tenured members of the Michigan Bay Paranormal Team.  He was born and raised in beautiful Bay City, Michigan. Mike has been interested in the paranormal ever since he was very young. He believes that the topic is full of many different discussions to be had. He enjoys experimenting with the Spirit Box on investigations, hoping to one day prove its validity as a piece of investigation equipment. Most of the cases he has experienced through MBPT have been fruitful, regardless of actual validity. Whether or not something is found is not the concern for him. He enjoys the feeling of putting the clients at ease, and takes every claim as a serious opportunity for advancement in the field.

Jordan LaForest:  Investigator

Jordan Peterson was born in Flint, MI in January of 1994. Her interest in the paranormal was established at a young age while watching scary movies with her older siblings. As she grew, she began to watch paranormal shows on TV. The thought of life after death or the possibility that ghosts are real suddenly became an urge that she had to find out for herself. While attending Saginaw Valley State University, an opportunity opened up for her to finally chase the answers she had been looking for. Shorty after joining a paranormal club on campus, she met Bryce Martin, the leader of Michigan Bay Paranormal Team. Many weeks and meetings went by with Jordan showing ambition to learn all that she could, which led to MBPT extending an offer to join, which she excitedly accepted. Jordan has had numerous experiences since then such as capturing electric voice phenomenon (EVP) and apparitions on the investigations she has been a part of. Although she is a believer, she enters each investigation with an open and skeptical mind. Her goal is to gather enough evidence to prove to herself and others that ghosts either do or do not exist. When she is not investigating, she is a pharmacy technician, wife, and mom of three.

Jon Girvan:  Investigator

Jon was born in 1994, and raised in Metro Detroit, MI.  He was first introduced to MBPT when he met Bryce and Taylor at Saginaw Valley State University at an event for paranormal activity enthusiasts. His interest in the paranormal started from a young age, mostly due to growing up in a haunted house, watching paranormal shows on TV, and a variety of close personal experiences.  From his own personal  experiences, Jon is convinced there is a life after death and seeks to scientifically find proof of that existence, if at all possible. When he is not investigating, Jon is an engineer, musician.  In his free time, he is an athlete that enjoys music, racing, and sports.

James Feyrer:  Investigator-in-Training

James grew up in Virginia and North Carolina, and moved to Michigan for College. Throughout his life, James experienced things he considered "out of the ordinary", which increased after the death of his mother. His interest in the paranormal heightened when he worked at a movie store and sometimes experienced a knock on the office wall. If he looked quickly enough he would see a partial apparition of a young child running around movie shelves, as if it were a game. One night James was sitting outside and noticed the reflection of a little girl staring at him on the glass of the entrance door. After a few seconds, it dissipated. In working with the MBPT James hopes to gain a better understanding of his experiences and looks forward to recording evidence of future paranormal experiences.

Brynna Henika:  Investigator-in-Training

Journalism student by day, paranormal investigator by night, Brynna has always had a fascination with the world of the paranormal. Since she was very young, she has had many experiences with the dead, including a spirit in her own home. One experience that she remembers most, is when she was pushed down the stairs of her attic by the ghost in her home. Brynna also possesses the ability to sense those who have passed, but wishes to learn more investigative tactics when it comes to ghost hunting. Aside from hunting ghosts, Brynna enjoys photography, reading, and trying new recipes she finds on Pintrest.
